One Thing Fast on the Heels of the Other

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.” — Amos 9:13, MSG.

Israel’s restoration was met with God’s decree: “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other.”

I thought you might enjoy the illustration.

But can you imagine seeing the hand of God moving in such a way that you end up sitting in amazement like these two?

We are living in unprecedented times. A time and a season that we have never experienced before. And yet, in the midst of the shifting and shaking, God is the only trustworthy consistency in our lives.

Hebrews 13:8 says He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever more. And just like He did for the Children of Israel in Goshen, He can do the same for us no matter where our place of habitation may be.

For you see, we’re blessed in the city, and we’re blessed in the fields. (Deuteronomy 28:3)

We’re blessed when we come and when we go. (Deuteronomy 28:6)

Blessings are inheritance as heirs of the Father and joint heirs with the Son. But not just your ordinary blessings. On the contrary, blessings pouring off the mountains and hills like wine — an avalanche of blessings — Overflow!

While the world may be topsy turvy, the people of God  — the kingdom of God — the church will remain steadfast and flow in the abundance of God.

The playing field is level, and the crooked paths have been made straight. God is opening doors of opportunity to all who will obey His word and walk in the way of righteousness.

The world needs to see the manifestation of the will of God on earth. Creation is eagerly awaiting the revealing of the true sons and daughters of God. (Romans 8:19) So, as God brings restoration to His people, the manifestation of His blessings will be the church’s testimony.

As a people, we live in one of the most extraordinary dispensations of times. No, it doesn’t look that way to the natural eye, but through the lenses of heaven, everything is working to our advantage.

So, be encouraged. “Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31, NLT)

Hold on tight and get ready for the ride of a lifetime!

“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth;” (Isaiah 43:19)
