He Who Dwells Shall Abide

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

In this 2020 Presidential Election, healthcare and health insurance are on the minds of many voters. People want to know if they will have coverage for their current medical conditions and any medical emergency that may arise. Thus, many have put their hopes and trust in the candidate they feel who can give them this guarantee.

Americans across this country are looking to their political party to provide them with a form of protection against all possible risks. The expectation is when they are protected, they are compensated for their loss. But then, on the other hand, if there is no protection, there is no compensation. Yet, for Believers, there is a more excellent way. Our trust does not lie in man or a political party, but it lies in God.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. (Psalm 118:8, NKJV)

Psalm 91:1 is the best insurance policy that one can have. It is better than Aflac, Liberty Mutual, and Allstate put together. And the Affordable Care Act cannot touch it. Policies such as these can only serve as supplemental coverage to the primary plan –– Psalm 91.

In the natural realm, the writing agent has the authority to include or exclude any preexisting conditions. But, unlike the other policies, there is a preexisting condition to this spiritual covenant. It is not hidden in any clauses or noted in a disclaimer. It is stated in the first declaration of the Psalm – He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High. Here we find that in order to have protection and compensation, one has to dwell. One has to remain, sit, or find their abode in God.

The secret place is a position in God, where we can find safety and shelter from the chaos, confusion, and mayhem of the world.  It is a place where we can find restoration from the casualties of life. And a place where, if we dwell, we can take residence under the shadow of the Almighty.

When we dwell and abide, these are the declarations written in our policy:

  • The Insurer is our refuge and our fortress.
  • He will deliver us from the snare of the fowler and the perilous pestilence.
  • He will cover us with His feathers, and under His wings, we can take refuge.
  • His truth will be our shield and buckler.
  • We are fully covered and protected from night terrors, day arrows, the pestilence that walks in darkness, and destruction that awaits us at noonday.
  • A thousand may fall at our side, and ten thousand at our right hand; but these fatalities will not come near us.
  • Our eyes will see the reward of the wicked.
  • No evil shall befall us, nor will any plague come near our dwelling.
  • The Insurer –– God will give His angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways.

I ask you. Would you sign an all-inclusive agreement like this?

If the answer is yes; then, find your secret place and dwell and take up residence under the shadow of the Almighty God.
