Forever Is Forever
“Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” — Psalm 106:1, NKJV
This week, we continue our Thanksgiving series.
“Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever!” — AMP
“Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord! How good you are! Your love for us continues on forever.” — TLB
“Praise the Lord! O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.” — NRSV
The message is still the same no matter which translation you read; God’s mercy and love last forever.
With extended hands or outreached hands, give praise unto the Lord.
Why?
Because He is good — kind and benevolent.
Why?
Because of His mercy — compassion, kindness, grace.
And how long does God extend His mercy towards us?
Forever — days, weeks, months, years, indefinitely.
How has God shown His goodness towards you?
In what ways has He shown mercy towards you?
Dear Heavenly Father,
With uplifted hands, I give You praise. I thank You for Your goodness.
You have been better to me than I have been to myself.
I thank You that You have not dealt with me in the way that I deserve and for that,
I will continually praise You all the days of my life. Amen.
