A Clarion Call

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV

The Temple and the Royal Palace were complete. Solomon succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the Temple of the Lord and in his own palace. (2 Chronicles 7:11)

That night, the Lord appeared to Solomon and told him, He heard his prayer and had chosen the Temple as a house of sacrifice for Himself. Then God assured Solomon of one thing.

“When I shut up heaven, and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people (v. 12), if I do these things, then the response of the people should be this:

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (v. 14)

My people.

Urbandictionary.com defines “my people” as an expression commonly used when you find a group of people with the same opinion/interests as you.

When God spoke of His people, He referred to those who possessed the same character, nature, and mind as He. Therefore, if those who walked in the image and likeness of God prayed, divine intervention would take place. Because you see, prayer is the tool we use to pull something down out of the invisible realm into the visible realm or seen realm.

Prayer frees the hand of God to move on our behalf. However, we just do not want to release the hand of God. We want effective results. So, we strategically implement the right tools to receive the highest return on our investment.

Tools such as:

• Confessing to being God’s people — those who bear His name or have a covenant relationship with Him.
• Having a heart posture of humility.
• Seeking the face of God for forgiveness.
• Turning from our wicked ways — the things that displease God.

When we practice the above method, God will hear us, forgive our sin, and heal our land.

We need it now if we’ve ever needed healing in our land.

The earth is sending forth a Clarion Call to the sons and daughters of God to pray so that it heals from all that plagues it.

We, the collective body of Christian Believers, have a charge before us.

My question to you today is, “Do you hear the Call?”

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:18-19, NKJV)
